Planet Flosante (abbreviated as Flosante) is the main planet of Area A and the first main stage of Blaster Master Zero 2.

Flosante is a planet that has already been destroyed by mutants. Fragments of the planet's crust remain aloft from the remnants of its core due to the properties of the minerals inside them.
Gaia-SOPHIA's Hover ability is damaged upon initial touchdown, requiring Jason to hunt down materials to fix it. Fortunately, they are easily found. Unfortunately, they are guarded by the boss mutant Mockrantula.
As more or less the "tutorial" level for the game, Flosante does not have overly much to note apart from spider-like mutants and floating rocks that must be broken apart to create traversable platforms through several areas. There are some basic enemies to fight, and four relatively simple dungeons featuring floating rock platforms which must be shot down to create safe paths across spikes. Like any other game made by Inti Creates, revisiting levels after acquiring some new abilities can lead to secrets and previously inaccessible areas.

Etymology[]
"Flosante" is a word in Esperanto that means "floating". This references how Planet Flosante is made up of large pieces of rock floating above the planet's destroyed core.
