Sophia 4th, META MX-01, (also known as SOPHIA THE 4TH) is an upgrade of Sophia 3rd featured in Blaster Master 2. It has several new features and modules, many of which are temporarily lost when struck by a bolt of lightning by Lightning Beings prior to the events of the game. It is sometimes referred to as S.O.P.H.I.A., though this is not to be confused with the Sophia model from Blaster Master: Overdrive.

Sophia 4th is a rarity of the series, lacking a means to traverse walls. Jason's Bike was a scrapped asset speculated to preserve Wall 1 and Wall 2 functionality.
