Tappy is a bamboo dragonfly that first makes an (unnamed) appearance in Blaster Master Zero 2. It acts as the support animal for NORA MA-05 "Kuebiko" and its crew, Gonbei and Tae.

Abilities[]

Tappy is a support animal that is designed for reclaiming farmland, capable of analyzing soil and detecting underground water veins and has excellent reconnaissance capabilities with it's flying. It also has a feature known as "Taketonbo mode" that enhances it's search performance, it also has another mode known as "Triple mode" which activates in the evening. During Gonbei's boss fight in Blaster Master Zero 3, Tappy has also showcased the ability to drop flares, capable of leaving behind trails of them to cage in Kane and give him little room to dodge Gonbei's attacks.

Tappy's appearance in the game is a minor one, seen hanging around Gonbei while he's in Kuebiko's hangar. He isn't even referred to at any point, let alone named.

This article contains spoilers for the endgame of Blaster Master Zero 3.

When Kuebiko's crew appears to bar Kane's progress on the True Ending path, Tae sends Tappy to assist Gonbei as he fights Kane on foot. Tappy takes to boxing Kane in, whizzing across the arena leaving trails of explosions that cut his room to dodge Gonbei's strikes.

After Kane downs Gonbei, he and Tappy retreat in a wormhole.
